Returns & Refunds Policy
At Circus Gallery, every artwork we sell is an original work created by an independent artist. We want you to feel confident and excited when purchasing from us, whether you discover an artwork at one of our exhibitions, art fairs or through our website.
This Returns & Refunds Policy explains your rights and our procedures for returns, cancellations and refunds.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.
Artwork purchased at an Art Fair or in person
When you purchase an artwork directly from Circus Gallery at an art fair, exhibition or other event where you have had the opportunity to view the artwork in person, we do not accept returns or offer refunds simply because you have changed your mind.
We encourage all customers to take the opportunity to view an artwork carefully before purchasing.
This does not affect your statutory rights. If an artwork is faulty, damaged before you received it, or is not as described, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund in accordance with applicable consumer law.
If you have identified a problem with an artwork purchased at an event, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Online Purchases
If you purchase an artwork through the Circus Gallery website, different cancellation rights apply because the contract is made at a distance.
If you wish to exercise your cancellation right, you must notify us within a 7 day period.
Once you have notified us, you must return the artwork within a further 7 days.
The artwork must be returned in its original condition and packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transportation.
Where you exercise your statutory cancellation right, we will refund the purchase price, subject to the applicable legal requirements.
You may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the artwork unless we have agreed otherwise or applicable law requires Circus Gallery to cover those costs.
We may make a deduction from your refund if the artwork has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and condition, or has been damaged while in your possession.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.
Shipping & Delivery Policy
At Circus Gallery, we understand that shipping original artwork requires particular care. Every artwork is individually inspected, professionally packaged where appropriate, and handled with the care required for valuable and unique pieces.
This policy explains how we arrange delivery of artwork purchased from Circus Gallery.
Delivery of Artwork
Circus Gallery offers delivery of artwork to customers in the UK and internationally.
Delivery arrangements and costs will depend on:
- The size and weight of the artwork
- Whether the artwork is framed or unframed
- The delivery destination
- The value of the artwork
- The specialist handling or transportation requirements
Delivery costs will normally be confirmed at the point of purchase or separately agreed with the customer before dispatch.
For particularly large, fragile or high-value artworks, we may use a specialist art transportation company rather than a standard courier service.
