Overview

'Tiny Survivals'

I create artworks using antique insect specimens from historical collections:

Butterflies, moths, beetles, dragonflies - and bees, whose delicate wings I gild.

My work celebrates the tradition of collecting, reflects on memory and preservation, fragility and time, and is inspired by the fleeting lives of the natural world. Many of my specimens are over a hundred years old.

I am passionate about connecting my audience with the extraordinary beauty of these ephemeral creatures, in turn leading to a continuing conversation about ecological preservation.

All specimens are strictly non-endangered and sustainably-sourced. All works are unique, numbered and certified.
